What is Required for Wireless Access?

At this time, University Technology Services supports Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4), Windows XP (Service Pack 2), along with Mac OS 10.2 or higher on the USC Wireless Network.  Other operating systems may not be as compatible on the network. Internal or external wireless cards are needed to access the wireless network. The following external wireless cards are strongly recommended by University Technology Services:

Also required are: Current Critical Operating System Updates, Virus Protection (available free-of-charge to all current students, faculty and staff) and a Cisco VPN Client. Please click on Wireless Instructions in the menu for more information on how to install these.
