Cell Phones for University Personnel The University of South Carolina may provide eDevices that are necessary for faculty and staff to discharge their job-related responsibilities. Whether you want to purchase a new cell phone and plan with AT&T, or modify your existing plan, simply go to AT&T's Sponsorship Program, and use your University email address to register. By enrolling in the AT&T Sponsorship Program, you may be eligible to select fromn discounted wireless services and equipment offers. To visit the AT&T Sponsorship Program website, use this link: Get Connected Most network-capable smart phones, PDAs, and hand-held devices should be able to connect to the University wireless network. Mobile devices connected to the University wireless network will be required to reauthenticate to the network every 18 hours. The network will automatically request that you log in to SafeConnect when reauthorization is required. UTS has instructions for connecting with an iPhone/iPod Touch. For more information on connecting other devices to a wireless network, see your device's instruction manual, or contact your service provider. Email on Mobile Devices Most mobile devices should be able to connect to the University student email system (Outlook Live@edu) and the faculty/staff Microsoft Exchange network.
