9+ is a long distance service offered to students living on-campus only. Students are assigned a seven-digit personal billing number (PBN) that also permits international dialing.  Students can view an itemized monthly invoice; simply go to vip.sc.edu and look under the technology tab.  Payments for the 9+ service should be directed to the University of South Carolina, Office of Financial Services, room 206, Petigru College.  To sign up for this service, simply go to vip.sc.edu and look under the technology tab.  If you have any problems, place a ticket at UTS Help Desk.

University Technology Services is also responsible for coordinating the University's departmental and personnel updates for the USC Campus, the State of South Carolina and the BellSouth Greater Columbia telephone directories, as well as the distribution of the directories.

USC's Nine Plus Calling Service offers the convenience of long distance calling when on-campus. There is no monthly service or connection charge. You can use just about any university phone on campus.

Students may sign up for the 9+ service, simply go to vip.sc.edu and look under the technology tab.  If you have any problems, place a ticket at UTS Help Desk.  There are no service or connection fees. 9+ PBNs are deactivated when the balance goes over two-hundred dollars ($200.00) or when the balance on the account is past thirty days and payment has not been rendered.
