GROUPWISE AT USC
Originally called WordPerfect Office, Novell GroupWise has
become the groupware program of choice for many colleges and
departments since its first installation at the University of
South Carolina in 1994. More than just an email program,
GroupWise is a cross-platform collaboration product that
enables you to work smarter alone and with others over any
type of network—wired to wireless, including the Internet. In
addition to integrated email and scheduling, GroupWise offers
task, contact and document management services that increase
productivity.
There are currently 6,200 mailboxes on the USC GroupWise
network and an average of 6.4 million messages are processed
by the GroupWise servers each month. In addition to these
statistics, this section gives specific information regarding
the GW system at USC and your role as a user.
