Conferencing Services

UTS can provide a variety of conferencing services for faculty, staff, and student organizations for meetings, group collaboration, and training. From video conferencing in enhanced classrooms, to telephone conferencing, to web meetings with Adobe Connect Pro, we can help you meet with colleagues wherever they are. ICPSR

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) is an organization of over 500 institutions around the world. The organization exists to acquire, archive, and disseminate social science data relevant to a wide spectrum of disciplines. The University of South Carolina maintains an annual membership, and offers access to ICPSR data to students, facults and staff for university-sponsored research. South Carolina's membership also gives researchers use of other ICPSR services, such as online data analysis, reduced rates for ICPSR training modules. Faculty at South Carolina can create user accounts for students to access ICPSR instructional tools in research and data analysis.

Mass Email

University Technology Services offers mass email services to authorized departments and colleges of the University of South Carolina. OneNote

Microsoft Office OneNote is an extremely flexible program for gathering, archiving, searching and sharing all types of media. OneNote lets you gather typed notes, emails, documents, web web links and text, audio clips, and video into an electronic notebook. You can organize the information quickly, and run specific searches using a powerful search engine. It is an effective tool for gathering research, building dissertations and journal articles, and collaborating with groups. It can also be used in the teaching environment for assembling course materials, building lesson plans, and tracking class interactions.

SharePoint Services

SharePoint is a premier tool for facilitating group collaboration and research. Members of a SharePoint group connect online through a secure login to:

Create and store documents, track versions, and place them in libraries to share editing
View and edit a shared calendar and link appointments and tasks to other members through Microsoft Outlook
Assign individual tasks, or create workflows to keep work moving
Build contact lists
Start, maintain, and archive discussion threads

Your SharePoint workspace is protected by a secure login, and individual members can be granted or restricted access to general or specific features, including individual documents.
