The University of South Carolina is excited to announce a special partnership with NBC Learn, a collection of videos, documents, and images for classroom and online use.

If you are looking for a way to enliven your classes, introduce current events, or use real-world examples to bring subjects to life for your students, then NBC Learn will be the perfect tool.

University Technology Services has NBC Learn for a trial period until August 2011. Plans to keep NBC Learn will be based upon resources and popularity.

Access NBC Learn from Blackboard:

NBC Learn Video Tutorial

1. Log into Blackboard with your USC Network Username and password.
2. Choose Control Panel.
3. Choose a Content Area (Course Information, Course Documents, External Links, Assignments) that is most appropriate.
4. On the right side of the screen, Go to Select: and use the drop down menu and choose NBC Content. Click Go.
5. You will be directed to the NBC Learn site.  You can search for videos using Keywords in the search box or browse through a variety of subjects listed on the left navigation bar.  There are both archived and new videos, as well as interesting documents, available through NBC Learn.
   
6. Once you see a video you would like to add to your page, click on the video itself. At the bottom will be a Save / Embed / Print feature. Choose Embed and that will go directly into your Blackboard content page that you have selected.
7. After you embed this and see it added in your content, you can modify or manage the settings as you see necessary.
